I plan to join my local REIA in Atlanta and was wondering what to expect when attending a meeting?

Thanks

Make sure you bring business cards with you. As you meet people, always be thinking about how you can help them in some way. The simplest way to do that is to introduce them to somebody else you've met in the room that they share same interest.  Having that attitude will payoff 10 fold in the long run, so always be thinking in those terms.  Be genuinely interested in other people, while learning how you will become a successful investor yourself.  After the meeting, follow-up with all the people you think will be good resources in the future (email or personal note).  Actually following up after a meeting with people will set you apart from most of the attendees.  Lastly, have fun and be yourself.  Good luck!

Mark
