AirBNB algorithm ranking

Posted

Greetings,

I have a quadplex that I have converted all four units into STR. One unit has been STR for 6months and the last three have been STRs for 2 months and all the listings are basically the same, optimized similarly, same amenities, same prices, etc. Superhost and 4.97 rating rating

However, I have noticed an interesting occurrence with my listings. The market has 450 listings in the region.
Listing 3 - Page 1, Position 1
Listing 2 - Page 2, Position 2
Listing 1 - Page 3, Position 3
Listing 4 - Page 4, Position 4

I believe AirBNB is intentionally spacing out my listings because they are linked to the same account. No matter the page, I get exposure.  Personally I would like Pg 1 spots 1-4. I am considering, as I add doors, to do the extra work and separating accounts to see if I can take up more of Page 1.

Thoughts? Has anyone ever noticed this? It could be a coincidence but it seems too perfect to say the algorithm did this by accident.
