Sec 8 Tenant Screening
I'm confused as to how to screen Sec 8 tenants compared to regular 'market rate' tenants. I feel as though no Sec 8 tenant is going to be able to pass my minimum requirements, specifically regarding the credit score (my min is 600). I obviously can't pick and choose what score to accept due to the Land Lord tenant act laws. I'm curious how others have done this. I don't want to lower the score because that would open me up to 'market rate' tenants I'd rather not rent to.

I use the exact same criteria for a voucher holder as a non-voucher holder except for income. I require they have at least one times the rent in income vs the three times I require of non-voucher holders.
