Each area--be it a state, county or city--has its own political leanings, left or right, and that would impact the price control efforts in ways you could predict.

Our take is that price controls is an idea that's been around for some time, but only a relatively few governments have enacted them. Our take is that this limited enactment is a function of this idea being, both economically and politically, a relatively bad solution to the problem of housing supply.
