Investing in Indianapolis as a first time investor

Nitesh Gandhi
Posted

I want to begin my real estate investing journey. I have been researching a few markets. Indianapolis market appears to be affordable. I want to know what is others opinion regarding the market- is it appreciating or cash flow? I want to know if anyone has experience investing in Indianapolis and what kind of returns have they been getting ? Are there any recommendations for a real estate agent?

@Nitesh Gandhi Indianapolis is a great market for investors because there are different neighborhoods where different strategies could work. There are areas where you can do buy-and-hold, areas great for STRs, even neighborhoods with great appreciation.

In terms of returns, you can get 10%+ coc based on your strategy and where you buy.

What I would say is that Indy, especially inside the circle, is street-by-street. It definitely helps that your agent knows the city and the type of strategies that work in which neighborhood. Happy to share some resources when you're ready to acquire.
