Investment Info:

Single-family residence buy & hold investment in East Haven.

Purchase price: $180,000
Cash invested: $1,000

I bought this property as a house hack. I am a veteran so I did not have to put any money down. The seller covered closing. My only cost was a couple gallons of paint. I put a roommate in one of my spare bedrooms and he covers half my mortgage. I am planning on moving in the spring and he has said he will have a friend move in to cover the full mortgage and give me a couple hundred dollars to put in savings. He has also agreed to buy my furniture (tables, dressers, couch) and my lawn mower/weed wacker. This will give me back my $1,000 I have put in the property.
