Single-family residence fix & flip investment in Brentwood.

Purchase price: $565,000
Cash invested: $30,000

After a traumatic experience as long-distance landlords, my wife had many fears and concerns about buying a house especially in the overpriced Bay Area. I knew that paying mortgage-like rents was a waste of money but believed we missed our chance. We were both resigned to being renters until the market turned again.

What made you interested in investing in this type of deal?

So along comes David Greene. He came to our house, spent time getting to know our kids (instead of ignoring them like most agents), and spent almost the entire time sitting and counseling my wife and I through all our fears.

He immediately put both our hearts at ease as he asked question after question that communicated his concern for our fears and hopes as we started to believe maybe it was possible after all. By the end of our meeting my wife was telling me why we needed to buy now.

How did you find this deal and how did you negotiate it?

The Greene Team went above and beyond with the little things all along the way, like bringing bottled water for our kids during a long day of house hunting. We found this house on our 2nd day! They helped us negotiate on all the pieces we could.

What was the outcome?

The Greene Team went above and beyond with the little things all along the way, like bringing bottled water for our kids during a long day of house hunting.

When we closed on our dream house and went to pick up the keys they surprised us with a giant red bow on our front door and an ice cream sundae party inside!
They send us cards for our purchase anniversary and little notes to let us know they’re thinking about our family. We don’t even do that for our own family!

Lessons learned? Challenges?

The bar has been set VERY high and we have been spoiled by the Greene Team. We hope you get spoiled too :)
The bottom line is the old adage still proves true: show me a man who believes he can or believes he can't, and I'll show you a man who is right.

Did you work with any real estate professionals (agents, lenders, etc.) that you'd recommend to others?

I can not recommend the David Greene Team highly enough! They are more than your average transactional real estate agents, they are a team of therapists.
