From Millionaire to sleeping in his car, my friend's story
Happy Friday BP, There's been an unbelievable ordeal going on with a close personal friend of mine that I don't ever want to happen to you. I think this will help you TREMENDOUSLY in your quest for wealth and financial prosperity. It dawned on me today, that I have personally witnessed a man go from literally living in a 3000 sf beach house in Norfolk to living out of his car, wife left him, no hope, borrowing money from me to pay his bills. This entire process has taken about 2 years for him to lose over a dozen houses, his fancy cars, his office building, his friends (accept me) and his family and all his wealth. I have literally driven to the bank to deposit 3M and 4 Million dollar checks with this friend and now it seems like he's lost his mind.
God touched me today to take a step back and recognize this enormous opportunity, to be able to personally witness exactly how a man's life can go from high to low, rich to poor very quickly without it actually happening to me. So, I figured this will be an absolute goldmine if I were to share with you how this man's life fell apart and how you (and I) can avoid this from happening to us.
I've decided over the next few weeks I'm going to share with you how I've been experiencing 1st hand the specific decisions he's made to ruin his financial life and hence his personal life over the past 26-27 months. Mr. T and I used to eat out every day at Joe's Crab shack. Money was never an issue with Mr. T.... I mean we did it big, I'd guess our monthly lunch tab was about $3,000. You name it, we've eaten there, and we always ate the best: Lobster, crab legs, crab cakes, steaks, etc. etc. EVERY DAY! I even remember one time ordering a 2 lobster crab pot at Joe's, it was out of control and this was only lunch not to mention the other crazy things we did, which I'll elaborate on much later. . Since then, we've talked about the things he "shoulda, woulda, coulda" done differently and the plethora of mistakes he made with his abundant wealth. I've been in bankruptcy court with him, attorney's offices all over Hampton Roads, court rooms in 3 cities, seen him get arrested, evicted out of his house with only the clothes on his back and I've actually picked him up from the bus stop a few times (yeah, he doesn't even have a car anymore). So stay tuned for this real life documentary that I'm sure will be on American greed one day. And as my Pastor says
"I hope the words that I use and the meditation of my heart will help you as you read."
ps- Maybe you help me think of a name for this series?
