Investment Info:

Condo buy & hold investment.

Purchase price: $170,000
Cash invested: $40,000

Purchased condo as a primary resident in 2012, now it's a rental, cash flowing $1000 a month.

What made you interested in investing in this type of deal?

Was a primary resident, then moved out and used it as a rental. The location is amazing, minutes from new Apple campus, and Lakeline Mall station. Close to freeway and retails. Best location!!!

How did you find this deal and how did you negotiate it?

Bought at the right time in 2012.

How did you finance this deal?

Conventional loan 20% down. Was primary resident until 2020.

How did you add value to the deal?

Put down large down payment, used as primary resident, and it's in great condition.

What was the outcome?

Primary resident, and now is a rental. Buy & hold strategy.

Lessons learned? Challenges?

Buy and hold is my strategy.
