My name is Taylor and I’m young future real estate investor. I’m 18 years old and live in Longmont Colorado and am currently trying to learn as much as I can about real estate. I’ve read books, listened to podcast and watch educational YouTube videos to help educate myself. I plan to start house hacking not too long from now but am currently trying to talk to local investors and talk about there experiences with investing locally. I would like to chat with any investors in Colorado, have a nice day!

Hi Taylor, I'm not sure if you're aware the Mr. Money Mustache (Pete Adeney) is headquartered here in Longmont (across main from Longs Peak Pub) and there is a well-established FI community here. You should reach out to connect to members of that group (you can look up NOCO mustachians on meetup.com) to find some mentors that have lots of experience and can give you some guidance. Best of luck!

Hey Taylor. The post above reminded me that there is also a Facebook group called "Denver Area Mustachians" that you might want to check out.

@Taylor Thompson

You're a good reason for us all to feel bad about ourselves. 18?! You start buying now, pick one up every year or two, you will be sitting very pretty at a very early ago. Good for you.

We're in Denver and Colorado Springs, mostly, but the housing market is similar along the Front Range ... and by similar, I mean hot. Low inventory, high demand. House hacking is a great first step.

Stick around the forums, ask questions, reach out to people who seem to know about what you want to do and you'll be great. Cheers!

If you're able to start investing in the next year or two you'll be so far ahead of everyone else it will benefit you dramatically for the rest of your life. I bought my first property at 21 and that was very impactful, you could easily beat me by several years!

Colorado is a great place to house hack as you can get ridiculous rates for single room rentals. Are you working full time? Going to school?

Hi Taylor!

I hope all is well. I live in the Aurora area and I am in a similar position you where, I turn 18 in July and would love any advice on real estate you have. Where you able to find help in our area and people to guide you? I would love to see how you have developed over the last 4 years!
