Hello, I’m new, yet very intrigued to the idea of real estate investing. Though I been reading and researching every piece of information I can find, my two month study is just proof of how far away I am to making my first deal. Any direction or advice given( from what books to read, Mentors to search up) is great. I’m dictating any spare time I have to educating myself, and acquiring skills to insure success.

Welcome aboard! First I would say pick a path what are you going to do / specialize in. Buy and hold, flipping, wholesale?  Each I think is a different skillset.

Save as much money as you possibly can your going to need it. Grind a second job until you make the plunge and you will be thankful for finally leaving that second job as a reward for getting your first property.  I don't care what anyone says your going to need some serious money and the more you have the easier it is.

Figure out a market. I think your hometown is best because you should know the area and know about what prices are selling for. You have to know what a home is worth and what rents are. This is so crucial.

Write down your goals. Focus on those goals and don't lose sight and keep track of them.

Find a RE meetup and schmooze it up with people that are already doing it. Many are willing to teach you for free because people love talking about themselves.
