FHA/PML house hack to conventional?

Augusto Celis
Posted

Hello everybody,

So I had a quick question for my BRRRR people.

Has anybody ever bought a triplex or similar using FHA loan/PML to buy a property, rehab, than refi?

I know this is the typical strategy with a FHA loan, but I wanted to know if anybody ever did this with a PML?

The other question I had is, if I refi to a conventional loan after getting an FHA loan and making repairs to the property to improve it, the rules of having to stay in the property for 1+ years don't apply anymore correct?

Thank you for your help!
