Rentals in Rockford, IL

Jason Redeker
Posted

Hey guys and gals.  Just getting my feet wet with real estate and on a whim checked out single family homes in Rockford.  Seems to be some deals on properties and wondering if anyone on here has experience in Rockford, IL.  Are there areas to avoid?  How hand tenants been with paying rent and property up keep?  Any other advice?   Thanks.
Jason.

Hi Jason, Rockford is a great place to invest but I would say that you *really* need to know your neighborhood and make sure you are buying property that is in line with your comfort level.  I don't know what you are looking at, but I bet the "great deal" is going to have a few challenges.

There are a couple of Real Estate Groups to check out, Rockford Area Real Estate Investors and Rockford Apartment Association, both are very good.
