What websites are best for finding deals?

What are the best websites out there for finding deals.
Right now i mainly use craigslist . . .
any other suggestions?

The best deals are not found on websites.  They are found by pounding the pavement, networking, and getting the word out about what you are looking for.

Believe it or not, I find most of my deals while riding my bike. Looking for unmowed lawns and rotted phone books by the front door or mail box are sure signs that the property may be foreclosed or abandoned. It's also easy to see HUD notices on the door as well when you are going at a slow speed - and I get much needed exercise!

I don't think Richard could possibly be more wrong.
            
            How could someone living in Michigan that inherited a house in Florida possibly find you based on any of Richards' ideas.
            
            However, if they went to Google and put in "sell orlando home fast" they would find possibly as many as 3 of my listings on the first page.
            
            The best websites are ones you build yourself and do the seo work on yourself, If you do not have the time for that, then type in sell home fast in google and look at all the listings on the right, these people sell their leads in your area.
            
            I also have a service [REMOVED] where you get all the leads 
  
            They are not complex websites, just designed to get traffic.

The best deals are not "just" found on the internet nor are they "just" found by networking.  They are found however they are found.  There are countless ways of finding good leads.  Choose the method that is most attractive to you based upon your personality type.  It's more about taking action on multiple methods.  It may be that one of them turns out to work much better for you and then you can focus more on that.

Winterized = bank owned property (REO of some sort, possibly a HUD)

Since it is bank owned, it may already be listed on the MLS.

@ All Here is my question, once you find a  property that appears distressed what do you do to start reseraching it? Today I found a property with a Winterized Notoce in the window, overgrown, empty of furniture, garage door not straight and cocked to the ide a bit. In a great area. What would be my next step?

Thanks fo rany help, finally going to take the plunge and find a deal. Plan to bird dog two, follow the other parties through the process, the wholesale two and see what happens. Eventually would like to be a cash buyer of rentals.

So my question is once you find a potential deal, what is the next step? I found a property today in a great area. Had winterized papers in the window, bare of furniture, overgrown, and the garage door was off level.

What is my next step to see if this is a deal?

He said he wanted to find a deal, not sell a property.  If you are going to go to a website like Craigslist and find a deal without knowing the market or having any idea what the true value was you couldnâ€™t be more wrong.  Are you going to trust someone who is motivated by making a sale and not by whether or not it is a good investment?  Is someone who lives in Minnesota going to go on a website for Florida real estate and purchase something without having a clue as to the merits of the deal?  Absolutely not.  The point of my post was that you needed to do your homework rather than rely on a website.  Finding a deal and selling a property are two totally different things.  Websites are just one tool in the toolbelt.

A lot of "brain damage" on craigslist. I've done deals via CL but have also had a lot of my time wasted.
