Anyone have experience with Chicago REIA?

I am new to Chicago and would like to get into RE investing but am not too familiar with the Chicago market. I am looking into registering for a three day event with Andrew Holmes of Chicago REIA. Does anyone have any experience with them? Are they just trying to sell education and training?
