RE GURU, Armando Montelongo and probably others...
Hi, yes it's me again, back from vacation.
For those who are old enough to get the AARP magazine, even if you don't want it in the mail, there is an article about this guy. High pressure and intemidates people to sign up for the bus tour and cleans them for 30 grand!
I think this is old news to most here.
But the article ended with a question of sorts.
If the advice is so great why are they selling programs instead of out there making the big money?
So to any newbies, get far away from these guys in my opinion, you can take formal classes, read this site and ask questions and there is absolutely nothing in real estate that is done honestly and legally that you can't learn without these guys.
Oh, and that I don't have time to learn angle, well, if your time is that valuable, why are you doing real estate, hire someone to buy for you and have you legal staff take care of it. Otherwise, you time isn't that valuable.
And you never know who gets a kick back or other flavor for advocating the use of these sharks. Most that I have seen are masters at advertising/marketing and building networks, not real estate.
That's my last rant on gurus, really. Now if you lose your money to one I won't even say I told you so. Later....
So, how many here have lost money to a guru or didn't get what they thought they should have?
