One of the books I read in the 80's I read that really got me pumped up was "Art of the Deal" by Tony Schwartz and Donald Trump.  Trump was a real estate  developer in New York.   His father Fred was quite successful redeveloping middle-class projects in New York, Pennsylvania, and Ohio.  His son Donald followed with some much more high-profile projects in Manhattan.  I don't recall I used any specific ideas, but the book was one of those that really got me interested in real estate.  Has anyone read this?
