Looking into buying our 2nd rental property in Northern Utah

I am very new to this, so please forgive newbie questions. We are currently renting out our starter home to our oldest son\wife and are looking to expand into additional rental properties. How do we go about getting serious about going down the rental property business? Any advice would be appreciated.
