Austin Metro keeps humming along adding jobs. The cumulative employment for the metro increased from 1,145,500 to 1,237,200 year over year. The unemployment dropped year over year from 7.8% to 4.2%. From June 2021 to July 2021 unemployment dropped from 4.8% to 4.2%. The cumulative labor force from July2020 to July 2021 increased from 1,242,600 to 1,291,800. This shows that the Austin metro is a job creating machine. It's very impressive! There will be continuous job recruitment from elsewhere since the available workforce is shrinking.
