Trash service for small apartment complex

Can any small apartment complex owners in SA (mine is 9 units) share what they are doing for trash service?  We have been using a dumpster since I've owned the place, but the cost is very high and I wonder if I'd be better off with traditional trash service or if 9 separate trash cans would be too difficult to deal with.  Would love to know what others are doing and the cost if you don't mind sharing.  We are paying about 12k/yr for dumpster service.  Thanks!

@Jennifer M. on a property like that, assuming its a B or C property, I like to get several cans (I'd start with 5 or 6 that everyone shares) and then ask if any of the tenants would be willing to be in charge of rolling them out to the street once a week in exchange for $50 a month off their rent or something like that. Never had a problem
