Code for Gas Meters (Distance to Electrical)

Walked a property today that needs a lot of work, and one of my expected items was to replace the circuit breaker.  Trying to arrange an electrician to inspect, but curious thoughts on this being in/out of code?  It looks like the gas meter needs to be >= 3' away from ignition devices, but I'm not clear exactly how that is measured..
