The city recently passed memorandum making it impossible to evict a non paying tenant for any reason including an expired lease.  Only afterward are they listening to people on the matter.  Please attend the town hall to share your feedback.

Hey Miranda,

Thanks for the conversations.  According to LinkedIn, it looks like your title is "Community Engagement Coordinator" of the city of Pittsburgh.  So far I have yet to see these meetings on the news but chose to speak up to my councilman on three occsssions after finding out that the city had rushed to push this bill through (as titled through the news).  Since you work for the city, perhaps you can assist with the matter.  MSNBC has identified Pittsburgh as being one of the top 40 cities with percentage of homes in active forclosure.  Forcing unpaying tenants to remain in homes seems like a way to have those numbers go up.  Does the city see a correlation between the two?  Second, the bill states that there is a 248% increase of homeless population during the early stage of the pandemic as referenced by thr Allegheny County data.  I am seeing that data say something different where the homelessness population is actually going DOWN over a 5 year period of time.  Would you mind referencing your source please so that we can all be on the same page please?  Third, as I already expreased to my ward, there are apartment associations which are in the process of going out of business or are in the process as a reault of this bill.  Please help us.  Fourth, I am investor who buys distressed properties and fixes them up and takes an active role in the community.  What is the pitch for continuing to buy, rehab and support apartment buildings in the city when unpaying tenants are now living in these buildings without recourse?
