Looking to start in Columbus OH area

Hi BP folks,

I'm hoping to become a new investor from Seattle looking to invest in the Columbus area. I was swayed by the broader fundamentals in the market (pop. growth, jobs, etc.) coupled with the fact that I'm priced out of investing in Seattle.

I'm hoping I've got the order of operations right here -- I figured I would start with lenders to see where I'd be in terms of budget by using the marketplace/Googling. After that, I'll connect with agents in the area to see what deals might be in the price range and to get information that I don't have as a local. Regarding strategy, I'm looking to scale quickly which likely means a BRRRR strategy, and I'd likely start with SFH buy-and-hod

Does that sound like the right steps to start? And is Columbus a reasonable market to start in?

@James Lewis This article, published today in the Columbus Dispatch, talks about areas of opportunity in Columbus, OH. It's a promising sign as some of these areas that rank high on this list have often been cast off as not worth a look when investing. Seems as though things continue to change year over year. Lots of opportunity here--exciting times!
