Investment in Bronx, New York
Hello guys,
I am a complete newbie in Real Estate's.
From last few months, i have been looking on for rental properties in Bronx and Brooklyn. Well right now, i am not willing to invest in real estate's. Just studying.
Somewhere i read on a blog, Bronx and Brooklyn are good for investment purpose and rentals.
Just recently i found a condo on Zillow, the listed price is $118k and the expected rent is $1750. The maintenance cost for the condo is mentioned as $592/month.
- Is it a good deal to go for as rental purpose?
- Is it easy to get a tenant if i get that condo.?
- If not a good investment, can you share some tips and advises how to invest better?
- What are the key things to be noticed before an investment?
- Are there better places to invest in New York rather then Bronx & Brooklyn?

Hi All,
The best website to look at that is directly linked to the MLS's is Realtor.com. while some properties can be out dated it is the most up to date for anything listed by a realtor. You should also use websites such as Zillow, Trulia, forsalebyowner.com, etc... to get an all around feel for the market.
Also Noone here has heard of Parkchester. If we're talking about condominiums that can rent for 1750. You can secure a 2-3, bedroom, possibly under 150k, in Parkchester that needs a bit of work and rent it out for 1500 - 1900 a month. And it is not a war zone. The Bronx has wonderful investment areas and is the borough with the most potential right now.
