Looking for thoughts on how this renovation job is looking.
I've hired a contractor to renovate my upstairs unit which is the second and third floor. I've already paid the bulk of his costs which was approximately $114k with just $3k remaining on the balance once all work has been completed. The GC is saying that he'll stop by and tidy up but, from what I can tell there's a quite a bit more work needed than just tidying up. Items such as uncentered sconces, plumbing lines not keeping the color coding consistent, sink faucet drain stoppers not working, damaged front lawn, job site is a mess,

and I can't say enough about the paint job. I've posted some picture. Am I being too picky or should I be concerned?
Any suggestions on how to best approach this situation.

@Mark Belenky
Hey, wanted to add to my previous reply.
Not sure if there was a team of people who worked on your project. So your GC may or may not overseen every aspect. Also if your GC feels like everything is copacetic. He/she may have not done a final walk through and reviewed all the work that has been done.(definitely wanted to mention that)
Now for more detail about your photos...
Exposed frames and wiring:
Drywall work is probably the most important issue for your GC to fix.
Counter:
Not sure why the chunk of your stone is missing. That’s an issue, hopefully it’s not a random cut that was made in accident. Next key thing to bring up. If in fact that chunk isn’t supposed to be missing. I would want them to replace the countertop at their expense.
Closet rack/bar:
Not knowing ahead of time, but you need to change the choice of rack, or change the support for your shelf that the rack is connected to. If you made the choice of closet rack, your GC may just say, well that’s what you chose and it will cost time and money to replace the supports it’s attached to. Annoying for sure. But a good GC would have brought this up to you, as opposed to just doing it.
Drawer:
Looks like that drawer just isn’t placed on the slides properly. Should be an easy fix for you to just put the drawer in correctly. I cannot imagine that they would put drawer in without slides. But in the event they did, I would be upset. However, you can do this yourself, but you paid for them to do it correctly.
Paint:
Most of what you posted was a poor paint job. Your GC may have not even been there to see the paint job completed. Important for him to see it, as he can take that up with his painters. Unfortunately a bad paint job is exactly that. Bad. Paint should be the thing that can hide some of the blemishes, not create more. I have a great local painter if you need one.
Overall, how a team finishes a project, is so important and should not be overlooked. This is where pride in their work really shines.
Hope this is more helpful. Cheers
