Tax deeds for Land in Arkansas

Jahmal White
Posted

Hi BP, I am a new investor and new to BP. I have recently purchased 3 lots of land off a post auction list in Arkansas and want to resell. And reading up on the Limited Warranty Deed that is given, this doesn't clear me from any liens. I have researched online for liens on my lots and they all seem clean. What is the next step in receiving title insurance? Or are their steps I am totally missing?

@Jahmal White I second the advice of talking with title company. They would be the ones to help provide title insurance in case, and they can't insure title if it isn't clean. So they will do the title search for a fairly small fee. If it's clean, no problem, and if they find liens or other clouds, you will know what the issues are. Good luck!
