WA foreclosure mediation processes question

We are foreclosing on a home near Seattle and have the loan boarded with FCI. The state requires a 30-day period to allow the borrower to request mediation. Today is the 30th day and the borrower's attny called FCI yesterday to request mediation to "save" the home for the borrower (which ain't going to happen, long story). FCI told them to call me, the lender, and I got a vm to call them back. I called FCI and was told that even though we have retained a trustee attny, I need to now hire a mediation attny to perform the mediation with borrower and/or their attny.

Does anyone have any perspectives on this? I was under the assumption that the trustee would handle mediation. Just need a confirmation that FCIs advice is correct, thanks.
