Slow Renovation Process

Wanted to share a few photos of my renovation process with you guys. This is the second "house hack" ive done on a single family home. 3.5% down to get in (11k), and sellers covered closing costs. Ive also saved a lot of money doing the work myself.

Ive installed unfinished hardwood throughout, sanded and finished. I made custom concrete countertops from scratch and installed them. I have removed a wall and installed an LVL header, and used reclaimed beams from my W2 job as support. I also found heartpine planks at work that I refinished and used for floating shelves in the kitchen. I installed subway tile to the ceiling for backsplash. I painted the entire house with Benjamin moore paint. I covered the old ceiling with new shiplap and gave it a gloss finish, and installed new recessed lights (electrician wired them for me). I had my plumber friend do the plumbing as well. There is still a lot left to do!

I also have an inlaw apartment I will be renovating eventually that is downstairs. Me and my pregnant girlfriend were staying in the inlaw while I spent all my free time fixing up the upstairs. I got it livable just in time for when the baby arrived. Right now, im enjoying being a dad and it has actually helped me slow down and take breathers. Through doing this I have found a passion in carpentry and renovations, so I am actually doing side jobs in that trade.

Hopefully within a couple years I can do it again. I do thank BP for all the motivation and help since ive started investing. Its been a tough, but great experience since ive been on this path.
