Primed Interior doors or Pre Finished?

Question

Hello, could any experienced rehabbers tell me what the easiest way of getting a rehab done concerning doors?  We have been getting the cheap doors from menards primed for $39 per door.  But, I've heard for $20 more you can get doors that are painted.  Any have thoughts on getting the doors that are already painted vs primed?

Depends on what I am installing them in. Rental then pre-finished. Rehab and sell then primed to more easily match the color scheme

i bought the upgrade "Duracore" doors from Mennards.  Wasnt thinking of paint vs no paint but the 'strongest' most punch resistant door I could find.  Have had too many doors remodeled into windows in rentals.  First little argument and somebody has to prove how big they are by punching the door with cardboard inside. Especially the bathroom door.

I use the primed doors becaus its cheaper and when I paint trim I paint the door to match.

I am not familiar with Menards but I get pre-hung primed 6 panel interior doors from Lowes for under $40 and having the painting crew spray them with the Swiss coffee white is all part of the paint expense and is easy. 2 gallons of paint and a few minutes for each side and they are done (my crew lays them up in a line in the garage and sprays them all at once, dry time, then flip over and repeat.

With an airless sprayer, painting doors is quick and painless.  Once you have an airless, you'll wonder why you didn't get one sooner.  Things like banisters, cabinets, doors, windows, trim, etc...

Not an experienced rehabber, but I have bought both doors you are talking about from Menards and used them in rentals.  I used to buy the primed ones and then paint them, but it would take two coats of white paint to make them look good.  I switched to paying the extra few bucks per door and saved a lot of time and hassle by getting the pre-finished ones.
