What is your favorite LVP and what are you paying?

Hello BP - We just installed LVP in one of our units, and I'm not sure I'm satisfied with the product we selected or the price we paid.  We went with SMARTCORE Pro - Burbank Oak from Lowe's primarily because it was easy to source, looks fairly attractive, and features a 20 mil wear layer, which I hope means we can expect 10-15 years of service from.

Here's what I'd love some feedback on:

1) Is LVP even the best solution for an aesthetically pleasing, waterproof, "tenant proof," economical flooring solution?

2) If so, is Wear Layer and Cost per Mil the key specs to focus on with LVP?

3) Finally, did I just pay too much for the install?  If I'm asking the question, perhaps I already know the answer ...  We paid $7,085 for 827 sq. ft. to a GC as follows:

$650 - Carpet Removal

$100 - Carpet Disposal

$3,126.08 - 827 sq. ft. of Flooring at $3.78 (inclusive of tax)

$1,800 - Labor: 40 hrs. X $45/hr.

$252 - 1/4 Round Moulding

$240 - 1/4 Round Install Labor

$98.67 - Subflooring Material

$160 - Subflooring Install Labor

$321.34 - Overhead

$337.40 - Profit

Total - $7,085.47

It looks like I paid about $4.36/sq. ft. for the non-materials portion of this job.  I know every market is different, but I'd be curious to know if the labor costs seems reasonable for Maine.

Thanks very much!
