burglary/break in on flip properties
Dear all,
recently in my area, a lot of properties got break in and stole all staging furniture and appliances.
do you know what is the affective way to prevent criminal break in the staged properties while them on the market?
I heard putting a SECURITY SIGNS 24 HOURS CCTV CAMERA WARNING STICKERS and a security alarm sticker on windows would help?
any good ideas?

I agree with Mitch, having an alarm does not tell buyers the area is bad. It tells them that you take pride in your home, investment and want to secure it. I live in a gated high end community and i have an alarm system. People in Beverly Hills, CA have home alarm systems.
Also, if you are all worried about agents not following directions and setting off your alarm, do not put a supra on the door, make sure all showing agents must contact you for a showing, then give them a combo box code for entry. You simply go and un-arm the alarm before they get there and come back to reset it and change the combo code after they are gone.
In my experience, I have found that many agents are careless and do not lock doors, leave windows open, leave lights on, etc. As such, I make sure that after each showing, I or one of my team members is there to make sure the home is secure.
