Shopping around for the best quote for construction
I was just wondering is it ethical to have multiple contractors meet you at a property to all bid the same job?

As a contractor, I pretty much expect someone to get multiple bids..
But... we have a zero tolerance policy for multiple contractor walk throughs. I consider it disrespectful of my experience and ability to creatively problem solve.
By doing multiple contractor walk throughs you are effectively saying, "I believe you are all fundamentally the same and will see things the same way with no particular competitive advantage or proprietary intellectual property" ... which gets things off to a bad start already.
To put it in another way... you would never put 3 or 4 competing lawyers in the same room to discuss a legal case. Why would you do it for a contractor?
