Basement apartment Reno

Hi,

I'm currently renovating a basement apartment. There are two units above it. So far I've done a lot of structural work to it. I've dug down a foot and half to create an 8 foot ceiling or close to it so I re-poured new footing, floor and unfortunately a new 20' section of wall. But with the new wall I've added an egress window which is necessary. My concern is how to make the ceiling as sound proof as possible? Its currently down to the studs. The plumbing is almost done and electrical is about to begin. If anyone has done a project like this and has pointers on finishing touches I would love to hear about it.

Also another thing I would love to get suggestions on is how to rezone a house? Its currently zoned a duplex and I got permission from the city to create an ADU so I'm occupying it but in the future I would like to move out so I want to rezone to triplex. If anyone has experience with this I would love to hear from you.
