DIY Recommendations for a Newbie

Hi, I just bought my 4th rental property but I don't have much money for the rehab, so I'm thinking of attempting to do some of it myself.  Of course, I wouldn't attempt anything like plumbing or electric, but I can paint.  Can anyone make suggestions or give me pointers on any DIY projects for a rehab for an unskilled person like myself besides the painting?  Which of the projects are relatively easy if I follow instructions?  Is laminate flooring that clicks together very difficult to install, or is it something I can do myself with the help of my family?  Are there any sites or books that anyone can recommend that I can learn from?
