Dear Forum:

What would be the very first step in a house flipping project?

Sincerely,

No offense, but that's a ridiculous question, for many reasons:

-  Are you talking about the first step in getting into the business or the first step in physically renovating a house or something else?

-  If we're able to give you the answer to this question, how is it going to help you?

-  Do you only care about the first step?  Or will you post follow-up questions about what the second, third and fourth steps are as well?

-  All the information you want/need is on the site -- you seem to rather ask an open-ended question to try to get people to regurgitate information that is readily available by using the search feature here

My recommendation is to spend a few weeks/months reading this site, getting familiar with the basics and putting together a plan.  Then, when you have specific questions about specific parts of the process, ask...

And btw, the answer to your question is, "Planning."
