12v lighting wiring and NEC

This is for my home that I'm renovating at the moment, not a rental. Just so we're clear.

I want to put in a set of high ceiling lights, but going 12v led rather than full blown 110v downlighters. There will be about 64 spread across two rooms (kitchen and living area), and each light will powered individually as I'll eventually want to control every light individually (I'm told Dmx512 can do this).

But what is the correct wiring to NEC that I can use for the lights? The furthest light will be 70 feet from the transformer, the lights themselves are 12v and 0.1amp. Am I really running 12 or 14ga for each one of these?

She can code as well ;)

Can't do the multiple colors with the LEDs in mind, but there will be other lighting in the main areas that we can mess around with, and start creating custom color lighting. And let's just say the laser machine in the corner isnt my idea. Although I'm drawing the line at a smoke machine, heck, if she wants her kitchen to look like a night club, what do I care? I just want dinner. ;)
