Flipping my first house

Hi.  I'm new to real estate investing, but I have some knowledge and resources.  Looking to flip my first house or two in the Nashville, TN area sooner rather than later.  1.  Any ideas on the best areas of town to look for?  2.  What size/value property should I be considering first?  3.  Do I need a real estate agent?  4.  Should I get a loan or just use my own savings?

Welcome, Tom.  If you are new to real estate investing and want to flip houses in Nashville, but live in Ontario, I'd highly suggest taking a step back and rethinking your strategy.  There are so many things that go on in this business and trying to do it remotely for your first one will very challenging. I'd highly recommend doing one within 30 miles of your home area.

When looking at areas to invest in, focus on school ratings, industry (jobs) and if people are moving into or out of that area.  Good luck!
