Real Estate wholesale

Me and my friend's are looking into real estate wholesale,  and my first question was do we need a real estate license to wholesale or is there another type of license we are suppose to have. Can we have the same wholesale license business owners have. Our ideal goal is to make money, save, buy houses and rent them out. Two to three house is ideally suited for us. Everything sounds easy to us, but there is a lot to learn.
