Promoting Website for lead generation

We are working our website through Leadpropeller.com.

We have set up Facebook, Yellowpages, Twitter, Youtube, Google local, and Bing Local. Most of the other sites that they recommending setting up accounts for ties back to YEXT.com that wants an EXPENSIVE subscription. 

What have you guys done that works? How do you recommend building followers on Twitter, Fb, etc. We are going to dig into adwords as well but when free promoting do I need to do?
