bathroom renovation

i'm getting ready to update a bathroom that has a double sink.  i wondering if it's a bad idea to change it to a single sink.  i'm planning on keeping the existing cabinet the sinks sit on but am having a hard time finding a double sink replacement that is cost effective. personally, i think if it's plumbed for a double sink then i should bite the bullet and keep it that way, whatever the cost.  i don't want to have a prospective buyer wondering why the bathroom only has a single sink.  the floor layout is such that 3 bedrooms share this bathroom.
