Negotiating Home Inspection Repair
So I got a home inspection last week. There were a number of minor repairs that will be made by the seller. However, there is one larger issue that the seller says is fine.
The kitchen tile floor seems to be not level. It has minor indents where a person is likely to stand the most. My inspector suggested that there may be issues with the lightweight concrete under the floor but is not a structural problem. The inspector also said that the floor will last for awhile and this is a repair that will have to be made every so often.
I requested it to be fixed/repaired. Seller responds with this:
"Kitchen floor is fine. Flooring in entire living area and kitchen were recently replaced. In the kitchen, I scraped up the old flooring and poured a new layer of sub flooring. There was no damange or soft spots under the old flooring."
How do I proceed?
