Rehab Furniture Removal

Hey guys, first time poster here.

I just closed on my first rehab property today in Queens, NY!

The house came fully furnished... in very old furniture.

I was thinking about putting them on craigslist or calling an antique store and giving them all away. The goal is to reduce garbage.

Any tips for a newbie on old furniture removal?

Thank you.

@Christopher Persaud

Don't walk away from thousands!

My partners and I met a broker at a REO that was not cleared out. We were stepping all over things. In the corner were about 6K an commercial tools.

I said to the broker it would be better if the house were cleared he said he had not time to do so. I asked about the tools he said the former owner was going to rehab and ran out of money he told him 4 times to remove the tools or he would get rid of them the deadline to remove had past.

I told the broker don't worry we would clear it out. I told my partner the muscular one to rent the biggest uhaul truck and get a couple of buddies to help. Load to tools and anything of value first. second the clothing third the furniture and last the trash. Hit the first dumpster and clear the trash. Hit 2 used furniture stores and sell the furniture. Put the clothing in the donated bins. The tools unload at your house pick the ones you like to keep the rest post on CL. The tool money we split, the furniture money paid for the rental, luck and was divided up by the three of them.

Good luck

Paul
