Filtering Spread sheets

Hello BP friends.

I have looked for hours on how to filter my spread sheets and can not find anything that is specific for the RE industry.

I get monthly lists from my agent of potential leads. Each month though, some duplicates come in and I want to figure out the most accurate way to add list to list and sort out duplicates. For example combining Aug with Sept, then Oct comes, now Nov...how can I combine those and no chase my tail so to speak looking up the same properties I have already looked into back in Aug? I am open to any system, but figured keeping them in the spread sheet format is a good way to keep them filed and organized?

Thank you for your time on this everyone!
