Networking Opportunities in Atlanta Area Wanted
Hi all,
I am currently a special education teacher in the West Georgia area looking to supplement my current income through real estate. I have a pretty advanced understanding of a wide array of investment products as I was a financial advisor for a few years before my current job. While I have the knowledge, I do not have the connections needed to play the game. As many of you know real estate is a contact business. Therefore I am looking for meet ups, networking events, workshops, etc. to help me get to know more like minded people in my area. If you know anything in the Atlanta area, please let me know what you got!

Hey @David Kilgore, welcome to the BP community!
There were a ton of in-person meetups in Atlanta pre-COVID. They seem to be coming back pretty strong (although I haven't gone to one since COVID). Your best friend for finding these will be meetup.com and the Events page here on BP. You can also check out the GAREIA & ATLREIA sites. They both have regular meetups. BiggerPockets and Facebook groups are also terrific sources of networking, which have become even more useful throughout COVID. Just talk to everyone you can and don't be afraid to ask questions, but make sure you also invest in your own education so that you're able to have informed discussions.
And, please, feel free to reach out anytime if you have any questions or just want to chat!
