Mold remediation and GC recommendation in Atlanta W suburb
Hi guys, I walked through a small 2-floor multi property in a Atlanta suburb on the west side. The bottom unit has mold in the kitchen, bedroom closet, and utility closet. Parts of the ceiling, sheet rock, kitchen cabinets, and floor were torn out and it looks like there haven't been much work done on the mold issue for quite a while (can't confirm how long, just guessing). The unit on top of it is currently vacant but looks to be ready for rent. My guess is there is liability issue for renting out a unit directly on top of the mold unit, so it's staying vacant. I'm hoping for a water leak but not sure. My gut is to ask the listing agent how long the top unit has been vacant to assess when the mold was formed (if he or she falls for it).
I'm looking for recommendations for mold remediation and general contractor in the area. Depending on the severity of the mold, the unit will need a rehab of about 40-50%. Please PM me with any referrals. Thank you!
I've got a guy for mold remediation, will send your way
Hey Allen, our GC firm handles investor remodels and renovations and is routinely dealing with mold...if you want a quote on the scope of work, let me know and I can have a project manager contact you. Message me. Thanks.
