Debt pay down with 401k
Hello, I have a primary residence and about $10k in bad debt (not including car note, student loans and a small medical bill). I have about $5k in a credit card and another $5k in a home improvement loan because I had to replace my AC condenser after purchasing my primary last year. My mortgage increased earlier this year as my home owners insurance went up due to the company closing and my escrow didn’t have enough to make up the difference so I’m kind of pay check to pay check right now. I am thinking about taking a $10k loan against my 401k to get a little caught up and hopefully use the rest to invest. Does anyone here have any thoughts or advice on this?
