My journey began during the pandemic of 2020, when I found myself burdened with debt and a credit score below 500. Fortunately, I had recently started a new job in an essential field, which provided a minimum wage income. It was during this challenging time that I made a decision to prioritize saving money on a monthly basis. As someone who has a tendency to spend excessively and live paycheck to paycheck, the lockdown measures implemented during the pandemic unexpectedly helped me stabilize my financial situation. This prompted me to shift my focus towards planning for the future and setting clear goals.

Motivated by a desire to own a home someday, I began exploring listings on platforms like Zillow and Redfin. As an eternal procrastinator, I never truly believed that I would be able to achieve my dreams. However, I stumbled upon a property in an ideal location and decided to reach out to a realtor. Surprisingly, I discovered that I was eligible for a private loan to obtain a home mortgage. This realization left me astonished at my own capabilities.

In 2021, within the span of a year, I successfully made an offer on my first condo, situated near the famous Las Vegas Strip by Bellagio. To maximize its potential, I utilized the property as a short-term rental on Airbnb. Witnessing my dream come true was a truly remarkable experience. After seven months, I took another leap and purchased a single-family home, which I also converted into a short-term rental. To further expand my real estate endeavors, I acquired another condo near the strip, implementing a house hacking strategy to optimize the use of space. Remarkably, everything aligned perfectly according to my plans, leaving me in awe of the reality I was living in.

Presently, I continue to strategize and aspire to acquire more properties, with the goal of becoming a successful realtor investor, further building my real estate portfolio. While I do not consider myself an expert, I am determined to enhance my knowledge in real estate investing. To this end, I have started listening to the BiggerPockets podcast, which has been instrumental in my educational journey.
