How to attain and stay within the investor mindset

Damian Johnson
Posted

I am a partner in a mobile home business. A challenge I have is  staying focused on the business while trying to balance life's obligations.

Some days I feel focused and optimistic about reaching my goal in becoming a fulltime investor, other days i find myself focused on life's obligations.

Any suggestions on staying focused day to day in the investor mindset?

My goal is to transition to a full time investor.

Do what you need to do to accumulate more down payment money.

That's where your mind set should be, as well as running a successfully profitable rental business.

When the wolf is at the door looking to bite you with your required daily activities and life's problems, you will need to switch gears like a race car driver really fast and deal with those problems- taking whatever time it takes to make them right.

You should also have some focus on fun time, or relaxed time whichever suits your personality better.

Maybe that means a barbecue with friends, or going to a movie, or just sitting alone and listening to music.

That gives you some profit for all the hard work you're putting in focusing on the other things. That is your reward.

Just my 2 cents.
