Client/Agent relationship and expectations
Hi, BP!
I am a beginner investor in the Denver area. I have been working with my agent exclusively for about two years now and I am about to close on my 4th property in a few weeks. She's told me that I was her "best" client: Four deals in two years worth $1.475M
On my previous deals she'd usually bring a gift at closing (bottle of champagne, Amazon gift card...)
This new property I'm about to close on will be my primary residence and needs appliances. Is it appropriate for me to ask for a more "generous" gift card to go towards covering the cost of a new fridge?
Please note that because this new property is a new build, the home builder stipulates in the contract that the agent commission is 2.5% as opposed to the standard 2.8% and my agent said she would not be asking me to cover that 0.3% (which is $1350)
Thoughts?
Thank you for your feedback!
