Seeking advice and logistical feedback:

I would greatly appreciate advice as I am seeking feedback on a community vision I have to also create more stability for myself.

I currently live in a loft apartment that is $1600 a month near Greenlake. It has no connection to nature and lots of break ins. Its been kicking my *** without AC. Id like to have a better quality of life with a yard so I can get a dog in long- term.

My idea is to buy a house and to either build or create a backyard adu (like studio shed). Id live in the adu. I’d like to rent the house out to some of my friends and cultivate a high-end conscious community.

I have a masters of architecture so I’d facilitate the integration of landscape and architecture in strategic phasing with a firm. Would love more of an Oprah garden vibe. I love community but I am an artist outside of my tech job and I meditate 1-3 hours a day and need to be able to close the door on the world. So that’s why this plan appealed to me.

I have $100k cash for a down payment and solid career. I have access to a loan at 1% interest. My main need is for quiet and less pollution and crime. I’m thinking the Matthews Beach or view ridge area.

So my question is - any feedback to share? What advice would you give me? Is this logical and what do I need to be careful about?
